Dear Oasis:

The KMS Flat Out Straightening Crème is my first choice. I have naturally curly hair and it works well when I use a flat iron. Just use a small amount before you blow-dry and it really helps smooth your hair. To keep the ends from frizzing I use the Silksheen Shaping Cream 1/2 way through the blow dry on the ends and it really helps control it. To finish it off I use the Goldwell Brilliance Magic Finish Spray for color treated hair. Strong hold but easy to brush out. The KMS Smoothing Serum is also great on smoothing the hair. I use this on really wet days do keep the frizz away!! For shampoo and conditioner the KMS Moist Repair or the Silk Sheen work well. I have to alternate since the Moist Repair tends to weigh down my hair if I use it too much.

Dear Oasis:

My favorite KMS product line is Curl Up. Parts of my hair are very curly, and parts are just wavy. When you add in the damp Seattle weather, most of my hair is frizzy! I rarely blow dry my hair because it’s short and it only seems to add to the frizz and makes it stand on end. What I like to do instead is towel dry my hair, and then work the KMS Curl Cream through, especially around the face and crown. This really helps define my curls as they are drying, thus eliminating the frizz. Once it is dry, I can move the curls around and pull them out a bit before hitting it with a setting spray. I have also found that working just a small amount of the Curl Cream into my dry hair towards the end of the day can help revive some of the tired curls. KMS really delivers!

I am currently in LOVE..yes, L-O-V-E, with KMS Color Vitality Blonde Shampoo. My sister, (who is blonde) suggested it for my highlights and I have never looked back! After being a very dark brunette for so long, I finally decided to lighten up and get some highlights. Angela, my favorite there at Oasis, gave me a beautiful cut and color w/foils and since using KMS, my highlights still look faboosh! The extra bonus for me is that KMS takes such good care of my highlights, that I don’t have to touch up as often. Which saves me money and I am definitely loving that!
